Ever since I can remember, I have felt compelled to help make this world a better place. I taught preschool. I worked as a social worker. I was a supervisor for a major local non-profit organization. I have donated my time and money to as many causes as I could throughout my life. When my youngest daughter needed a community service hours for her high school, we stumbled on an amazing rescue shelter for homeless puppies. We worked there for 2 years for several hours every week. She and I both fell in love with every aspect of the work they accomplish and somewhere in those years of volunteering, we decided that this is the legacy we too wanted to provide for homeless animals in our beloved home state of Colorado. The idea of Pawprints Pet Rescue was born. In October of 2023, we moved to a 40 acre plot of land in Keenesburg, Colorado with the notion that this would be the best place to build our non-profit sanctuary for animals who need a home. Once we obtained our 501(c)3 designation this summer, we have put our feet to the ground and we are doing anything and everything we can to get our shelter up and running. Please donate to our cause and help us save Colorado’s homeless pets, one paw at a time!
